Day
1: Take your overnight flight from JFK to Athens
Day 2: Welcome
/ Kalosorisate Arrive in Athens where
you will be met by our English-speaking representative and transferred
by a private car to your hotel. Stay in a double room with breakfast
daily for 2 nights.
Day 3: After breakfast, 9:00 a.m. take
the 1/2 Day Athens City Tour, to the Acropolis
and museums with round-trip transfers to the hotel.
This tour will introduce you to the most important sights of
the city. You will see the temple of the Olympian Zeus,
the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Pan Athenaeum stadium.
Return to your hotel in Athens. Afternoon is for you to
leisurely explore the wonderful city of Athens.
Day 4: After breakfast, you will be met and transferred
to begin your 4 Days Classical Tour with Meteora.
Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop).
Drive on to visit the famous theatre of Epidaurus. Then proceed
to the town of Nafplion (short stop), drive on to Mycenae and
visit the archaeological site & the Tomb of Agamemnon. Depart
for Olympia through Central part of the Peloponnese and the
towns of Tripolis & Megalopolis. Dinner and an overnight
in Olympia with breakfast.
Day 5: Visit the sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus,
the Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Proceed to Patras
and pass the magnificent bridge that is crossing the Corinthian
bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass through the picturesque
town of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and arrive in Delphi for dinner
and an overnight stay with breakfast.
Day 6: Visit the Castalia spring, the sanctuary
of Athena Pronaia, the sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and the museum.
Depart for Kalambaka for dinner and an overnight stay with
breakfast.
Day 7: In the morning visit Meteora, among the
striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks that seem to
be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries, where you
can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to
Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the Leonidas monument)
and Kammena Vourla. Arrive in Athens early in the evening and
transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Athens with breakfast.
Day 8: You will be transferred to the airport to
fly back home.
